Job Title: Distribution Director

Reports To: VP of Operations

Position Overview

The Distribution Director provides strategic leadership and day to day direction for the Mud Pie Distribution Center. This position is the key strategic leadership role in Mud Pie’s distribution operations. The Distribution Director will be highly involved in Mud Pie’s transition from a manual distribution process to one that is more automated and technologically innovative. They will need to be capable of leading this transition while maintaining the facility performance and its positive, objective oriented organizational culture.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist in establishing distribution budgets for the operation. Monitor performance and attain expense performance as budgeted.
  • Lead and drive facility culture to ensure a positive, respectful and collaborative environment. Maintain open communications with all associates in the organization and reinforce a positive approach that is focused on performance excellence.
  • Meet and communicate regularly with distribution team to ensure all personnel are aligned with organizational objectives and needs.
  • Assist company leadership in transforming distribution operations from a manual, labor intensive process to one that is more automated and systems driven.
  • Coaches and develops distribution leadership team. Monitors and evaluates staff performance to ensure performance is aligned with expectations.
  • Monitors and adjust facility schedules and staffing to meet customer shipment needs and company financial plans.
  • Ensures facility housekeeping and safety performance is maintained at high levels of performance.

 Required Qualifications and Skill Set

  • 7 to 10 years of progressive distribution leadership experience in a high volume, pick and pack environment.
  • Experience leading a team in excess of 100 people in a growing organization. Must have demonstrated success in building and maintaining a positive and inclusive culture. Experience coaching and developing management and associates at all organizational levels.
  • Four year degree in business or supply chain related field or significant relevant experience in an applicable environment.
  • Prefer experience in establishing automated distribution environments and implementing progressive WMS systems and processes. Past project management experience in high volume pick-pack operations a plus.
  • Excellent communications skills and ability to clearly communicate at all levels of an organization.
  • Excellent analytical capabilities with strong proficiency in Excel. Ability to analyze reports and determine appropriate actions to maximize operational performance
  • A strong focus on safety and experience leading organizations with an excellent safety performance. A no compromise attitude in areas of housekeeping and safety. Experience in 5-S implementation a plus.

Job Title: Customer Service Representative

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) will support the sales team and work directly with specialty retail stores nationwide.  The Customer Service Representative will handle incoming/outgoing calls and emails to promote the sales of Mud Pie products, to manage inquiries, and to resolve concerns.  A specialized software system is used to manage customer orders. The Customer Service Representative may also handle other administrative projects as assigned.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities

  • Participate in small call center setting handling incoming calls and emails from customers and sales organization
  • Initiate outbound sales and customer service calls and emails
  • Open accounts and maintain customer records
  • Proactively generate sales
  • Handle administrative tasks associated with orders, including order input into customized software system
  • Learn new product lines each season to be able to promote sales and respond to inquiries

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or 2 years equivalent work experience in a call center, customer service, marketing or sales position
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal and external customers required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook programs.    
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Job Title: Product Development Intern

Mud Pie is seeking candidates for a fashion apparel and product design internship in our Atlanta-area headquarters for the Summer of 2016. The internship will be paid and scheduling will be flexible based upon the needs of the intern.

Position Summary:

Assist the Product Development team in all aspects of daily responsibilities. Opportunity to work in several product categories for maximum exposure and enhanced growth potential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Assist living, fashion, and kids design departments with sample management, design commenting, and general sample organization
  • Help with design specs, approving fabric qualities, color submits, lab dips, strike offs, and any and all other levels of approval required in the design process
  • Assist the sales team with putting together presentations and collateral to help with sales and sales presentations
  • Work with Mud Pie’s overseas manufacturing partners
  • Assist in market trending
  • Participate in special projects as needed

Requirements:

  • College student working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising/Marketing or related field
  • Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, PhotoShop, and Microsoft Suite
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build and sustain relationships quickly

Product Designer

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Work within a team to concept and design Private Label collections for presentation to new or existing customers/accounts.
  • Be involved with all aspects of product design including concepts, sketches, specs, pricing and packaging.

  • Translate trends into concepts that fit the aesthetic of the customer as well as the Mud Pie brand.

Required Qualifications and Skill Set:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Be able to think and execute at the highest level of creativity.
  • Contribute to product design and production in multiple facets: Graphic Design, Package design, Product Production, Print Production
  • Have the ability to create art files, sketches, product art, dimensional drawings, 3D mock-ups, parts lists and material callouts.
  • Study, understand and be able to design products to the Mud Pie brand “look” and aesthetic.
  • Be able to work on and juggle multiple projects at once.
  • Contribute design-wise to a variety of piece-types from apparel to gift.
  • Must have an artistic eye for design and layout.
  • Need to have a passion for details, LOTS of details.

Key Account Administrative Assistant

Type of Employment: Full Time

Reports To: National Sales Manager & VP of Sales

Position Summary:

Key Account Sales Administrative Assistant will provide support to the Key Account Sales Team. The Key Account Sales Administrative Assistant will be responsible for performing a wide range of account support activities and will be expected to organize, prepare and communicate all projects and deliverables based on deadlines and schedules as determined by the Key Account Team. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

      • Provide Administrative and Call Support to the Key Account Sales Team
        • Presentation preparation
        • Compile reports and historic customer sales information
        • Order samples
        • Complete item set ups and other customer required forms/paperwork
        • Fulfill customer requests for images, product information etc.
      • Perform Weekly Reporting Functions
        • YTD sales reports
        • Goal tracking
        • Customer specific performance tracking
      • Plan-O-Gram Assistance
        • Work with Account Managers on customer specific POG projects
      • Provide Administrative Support to Key Account Graphic Design and Retail Marketing Team
        • Prepare and modify Design Sample Requests as needed
        • Prepare retail landscapes and do store visits and provide overview of current store offerings

Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s Degree and at least 2 years work experience as an administrative assistant or in a sales support position
      • Expert level competency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
      • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing (internally and externally)
      • Extremely strong organizational and analytical skills
      • Time management /Multi-tasking skills – must be able to work at an extremely fast pace and manage multiple projects at the same time to meet required deadlines
