Job Title: Customer Experience Specialist

Position Summary:

Mud Pie is hiring enthusiastic, positive and motivated individuals to join our Sales and Customer Experience Team. This role is the perfect opportunity for entry-level candidates to learn the wholesale gift and trade industry and have the opportunity to grow within a company!  The Customer Experience Specialist will support the sales team and work directly with buyers at specialty retail stores nationwide.  They will handle incoming/outgoing calls and emails, manage inquiries and resolve concerns as well as upsell products to promote the sales of Mud Pie merchandise. Some administrative projects may be assigned on an as needed basis. It is imperative that the Customer Experience Specialist possess strong communication skills, has an eagerness to learn and is team-oriented.  The position directly reports to the Director of Sales and Customer Experience. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the #1 Brand Ambassador to Customers, Mud Pie Retailers, and the Sales Force
  • Direct liaison between the Independent Sales Channel and Mud Pie Home Office
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Customers, buyers, and Territory Managers
  • Support Territory Managers in building, growing, and developing customer accounts
  • Work closely with the Mud Pie Sales Team in order to drive results and grow orders
  • Collaborate with the Mud Pie Marketing Team to echo promotional activity
  • Partner with the Mud Pie Product Development Team to understand product lines each season in order to promote sales and respond to product related inquiries
  • Work major home and gift international tradeshows, specifically at Mud Pie Showroom Campus in Atlanta’s AmericasMart
  • Participate in small call center environment handling incoming calls and emails from customers and sales organization
  • Uphold operational and organizational excellence in an effort to protect daily and weekly order maintenance
  • Leverage ERP and Warehouse Management System for order maintenance 
  • Utilize Open Order and Back Order Reports to properly plan and prepare sales orders
  • Open new customer accounts and maintain existing customer files and account data
  • Initiate outbound sales and customer service calls/emails as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or 2 years equivalent work experience in a customer service, marketing, or sales position
  • Experience in ERP and/or inventory management systems preferred

Job Title: Operations Systems Analyst

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct first-level troubleshooting for operational, functional and systems issues within the DC, including DC processes, use of warehouse management systmes, and Warehouse Control Systems
  • Review, analyze and evaluate business system functions and along with user needs for business process improvements to communicate business position on upgrades, system enhancement or issue resolution
  • Develop functional specifications and requirement documentation (standard operating procedures) using thorough business and functional perspective and expertise. Contribute input regarding any process changes that impact the DC.
  • Responsible for production system support which includes analyzing root cause and driving to correct issues from repeat occurrences.
  • Test new systems processes, enhancements and fixes for all DC utilized systems
  • Monitor system activities and communicate issues timely
  • Provide assistance and training to warehouse management systems users and assist with SOP writing/revisions as necessary
  • Perform hands-on execution of test scenarios, documentation of all test conditions covering each test scenerio, and proper logging of defects.
  • Possess the technical aptitude to understand when issues are within the WMS or are created by one of the many systems that interact with the WMS to operate the DC
  • Leverage expertise by soliciting peer input on relevant projects
  • Test database changes (stored procedures, triggers, etc.)
  • Utilize SQL to query the database to analyze warehouse processes and troubleshoot issues
  • Create dashboards in PowerBI to foster change by surfacing important data related to processes

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in related field required
  • Key Technical Skills required: Strong SQL database experience, WMS configuration and testing experience
  • Technical Skills preferred: EDI, Basic scripting and integration support experience
  • Strong time management, organizational and verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills and the ability to take an innovative approach to business problems
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork, sharing knowledge and expertise
  • Able to work effectively both alone and in team/coorperative development efforts
  • Experience in a Business Analyst role in a Distribution Center preferred
  • Proven expertise in supply chain operations with an orientation to technology; experience in order management, allocation, and sales processing management systems highly desirable
  • Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.

Job Title: Inventory Control Clerk

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain current inventory levels; track orders and investigate problems.
  • Maintain WMS inventory, perform physical count of inventory, and reconcile actual stock count to computer-generated reports.
  • Receive, unpack, and deliver goods; re-stock items as necessary; label shelves.
  • Process and document returns as required following established procedures.
  • Collect and confirm dimensions/weights of new product and existing inventory as appropriate using Cubiscan machine.
  • Perform routine clerical duties, including data entry and preparing daily status reports.
  • May train staff/temp employees, interns, and/or volunteers performing related work
  • Inventory tasks may require use of equipment (forklift, EPJ) to move product as needed.
  • Use Radio Frequency (RF) scanners and other warehouse management systems.
  • Perform duties assigned with excellent quality and accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean work station.
  • Promote a safe work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned, including tasks within any other warehouse department.

Requirements:

  • Associate’s Degree
  • Previous experience with inventory control, supplies, equipment and cycle counting
  • Completion of lift certification and safety training required
  • Demonstrates accuracy and follow through in all assigned tasks

Job Title: Procurement Analyst

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for new item system set up for Kids/Women’s divisions
  • Assist with PLM comparison, placing orders and reviewing packing lists
  • Use WMS systems to maintain and update master lists and oversee item maintenance
  • Coordinate with vendors on confirmed ship dates
  • Facilitate end-of-season meeting preparations and support National Accounts team with product
  • Handle IOQ and sample PO placement processes
  • Responsible for PO report maintenance in addition to seasonal PO tracking
  • Responsible for discontinuing process and all BOM edits
  • Track, enter and release reservations and set up ticketed custom items and POs
  • Utilize GXS catalog import and handle consolidation plans
  • Oversee markdowns and item configuration

Job Title: Freight Analyst

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide analytical and pricing support for domestic and international freight to maximize overall profitability
  • Provide ongoing analyses in areas such as transportation costs, freight claims, delivery process, and carrier costs
  • Analyze freight efficiencies; identify opportunities and make recommendations for opportunities to reduce cost
  • Work with accounting to ensure accuracy and proper coding of invoices
  • Review all overages, shortages and damage claims for all modes of transport
  • Partner with operations teams to optimize service levels, maintain supply chain efficiency, and reduce costs
  • Communicate regularly with service providers, such as ocean carriers, airfreight forwarders, dedicated delivery carriers, trucking companies, and parcel carriers
  • Prepare all reporting pertaining to operational and transportation expenses for management
  • Analyze market and industry trends for overall price effectiveness
  • Conduct independent audits and maintain continual managerial oversight of shipment packing process to ensure optimal efficiency
  • Report directly to Vice President of Distribution on daily basis regarding key responsibilities and initiatives

Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, distribution, retail, or in a strategic, supply chain management capacity
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Tariff, rates, accessorial pricing, class and commodities knowledge
  • Working knowledge of Transportation process and Supply Chain as a whole
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
