Job Title: Purchasing and Inventory Analyst 

Mud Pie seeks an experienced an experienced purchasing and inventory analyst. Preference will be given to the individual that has a background working with imported products. The candidate must be highly detailed and accurate, proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel and preferably Access) and able to work in a team environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Issue purchase orders for imported products to meet customer demands.
  • Monitor shipment status and escalate problems.
  • Maintain dates in system and follow up on open purchase order report.
  • Generate reports on inventory and vendor performance.
  • Document processes.
  • Ensure inventory reservations are entered and maintained in support of key account needs

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of one to three years of experience and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business with an emphasis in Purchasing or Logistics. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Job Title: Customer Service Manager

Mud Pie seeks an experienced Customer Service Manager. The Customer Service Manager will lead Mud Pie’s Customer Service department in providing excellent customer service and support to Mud Pie’s customers, business partners and end consumers. The Customer Service Manager will supervise and manage all Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) within the department and maintain responsibility for the goals, productivity and performance of the Customer Service team.


Applicants must have the ability to develop talent, enhance productivity, and think critically to address inefficiencies, strong written and verbal communication skills, and above all, must be passionate about using excellent leadership skills to accomplish the shared goals of the department and company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participates in and manages daily customer service activities including but not limited to: order entry, fulfilling customer requests including, but not limited to, delivery, pricing, technical product information, and supplying product and catalog information, processing product returns, handling complaints and resolving issues.
  • Responsible for providing ongoing training and coaching to CSRs. Such training may include, but is not limited to, the following: enhancing CSR knowledge of the products and goods sold by Mud Pie, wholesale/retail industry applications, computer functions, and talent development programs.
  • Demonstrates leadership skills that inspire CSRs to achieve full potential and maximize productivity. Assists Human Resources and company leadership in enforcing company policies. Monitors attendance records for department, CSR wage levels, and employee PTO requests.
  • Reviews CSR performance, talent development and counsels employees to enhance productivity. Promotes customer service excellence within the department. Recommends and or initiates personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures.
  • Maintains solid understanding of pricing information on all products. Maintains accurate information about Mud Pie customers and business partners.
  • Communicates via phone and email with Mud Pie’s business partners, sales team and customers regarding order and product information.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned to the position from time-to-time.

Requirements:

Candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field AND at least 3 to 5 years of supervisory and/or managerial experience in a corporate customer service role. Experience in the gift, children’s wear and/or fashion industry is strongly preferred. In addition to these minimum requirements, the candidate must:

  • Exemplify energetic and positive leadership skills with a Customer Service background as required to manage Mud Pie’s team of CSRs.
  • Have strong management, sales, and team building experience.
  • Possess effective oral and written communication skills for internal and external communications.
  • Possess excellent collaboration and cross-organization team building skills.
  • Have experience managing and executing multiple priorities in a timely manner.

Job Title: Embroidery/Personalization 

Mud Pie seeks a qualified candidate to assist with the embroidery and personalization of Mud Pie products. This employee will assist in the design and production of embroidered designs and monograms for various garments and accessories. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate embroidery machines (Brother – Six Needle and Tajima – 15 needle) using standard safety procedures
  • Identify correct hoop sizes, needles and thread to be used for each task
  • Use associated software (Monogram Wizard and DGML Version 15 by Pulse!) to complete embroidery tasks
  • Open digitized files in appropriate software for use in production
  • Output digitized files for production with embroidery machines
  • Operate heat press using standard safety procedures
  • Maintain machinery in safe and effective condition
  • Maintain inventory of supplies
  • Maintain a clean, safe and professional workstation at all times

Requirements:

  • Must have at least one year of experience operating commercial embroidery machines and heat presses
  • Must be proficient in use of computer software, including Microsoft Windows applications. Experience with Monogram Wizard and DGML Version 15 by Pulse! is a plus
  • Must be committed to working as part of a team and must possess attention to detail
  • Must be capable of handling and prioritizing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Must be able to perform some moderate pushing, pulling and lifting (up to approximately 25-35 pounds)

Job Title: Distribution Director

Reports To: VP of Operations

Position Overview

The Distribution Director provides strategic leadership and day to day direction for the Mud Pie Distribution Center. This position is the key strategic leadership role in Mud Pie’s distribution operations. The Distribution Director will be highly involved in Mud Pie’s transition from a manual distribution process to one that is more automated and technologically innovative. They will need to be capable of leading this transition while maintaining the facility performance and its positive, objective oriented organizational culture.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist in establishing distribution budgets for the operation. Monitor performance and attain expense performance as budgeted.
  • Lead and drive facility culture to ensure a positive, respectful and collaborative environment. Maintain open communications with all associates in the organization and reinforce a positive approach that is focused on performance excellence.
  • Meet and communicate regularly with distribution team to ensure all personnel are aligned with organizational objectives and needs.
  • Assist company leadership in transforming distribution operations from a manual, labor intensive process to one that is more automated and systems driven.
  • Coaches and develops distribution leadership team. Monitors and evaluates staff performance to ensure performance is aligned with expectations.
  • Monitors and adjust facility schedules and staffing to meet customer shipment needs and company financial plans.
  • Ensures facility housekeeping and safety performance is maintained at high levels of performance.

 Required Qualifications and Skill Set

  • 7 to 10 years of progressive distribution leadership experience in a high volume, pick and pack environment.
  • Experience leading a team in excess of 100 people in a growing organization. Must have demonstrated success in building and maintaining a positive and inclusive culture. Experience coaching and developing management and associates at all organizational levels.
  • Four year degree in business or supply chain related field or significant relevant experience in an applicable environment.
  • Prefer experience in establishing automated distribution environments and implementing progressive WMS systems and processes. Past project management experience in high volume pick-pack operations a plus.
  • Excellent communications skills and ability to clearly communicate at all levels of an organization.
  • Excellent analytical capabilities with strong proficiency in Excel. Ability to analyze reports and determine appropriate actions to maximize operational performance
  • A strong focus on safety and experience leading organizations with an excellent safety performance. A no compromise attitude in areas of housekeeping and safety. Experience in 5-S implementation a plus.

Job Title: Assistant Fashion Designer

Position Overview

This position will assist the Fashion Design team in the design and development of the Mud Pie Women’s This position will have exposure to all fashion piece-type categories with an emphasis on handbags, jewelry and accessories. This position will report to the Director of Fashion Design and Development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Trending and market analyzation (includes current consumer and competitor research).
  • Flat sketches and Print/Pattern Design.
  • Collaborate with the Fashion Design team in design of biannual Fashion collections.
  • Execution of designs with overseas vendors through an outlined sampling and development process.
  • Collaboration with Technical Designer in creation of apparel tech packs.
  • Responsible for creation of full accessory tech packs (ie handbags, hats, jewelry, etc).
  • Maintain and manage WIP of your products.
  • Approvals for all design and production submits.
  • Support development team and sales team by preparing necessary visual tools.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design or related field.
  • 1 - 4 years in a fashion design and/or graphic design role.
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Suite.
  • Excellent organization and leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain and build relationships with overseas vendors.
  • High level of creativity paired with strong understanding of the Mud Pie aesthetic.
  • Understanding of entire design and product development process.
  • Be able to work on deadlines and juggle multiple projects at once.
  • Ability to understand current fashion market and future consumer trends.
  • Organization with a dedication to details and final product quality.
  • Flexibility and a positive attitude under pressure.
  • Must have an advanced knowledge of and experience with Adobe Creative Suites particularly Illustrator.
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills.
